The suit designed by Nudie Cohn for Elvis Presley in 1957. Elvis' gold Lamé suit, including the jacket, pants, shoes, tie and belt, cost $2,500. But Elvis did not like it and for this he combined it with black pants in his performances. He wore it on stage for the first time in Chicago on March 28, 1957. He only wore the full gold suit for three performances: in Chicago on March 28, in St. Louis, Missouri on March 29, and in Toronto, Canada, April 2.
